About

Medea

by Euripides

When love turns treacherous, one woman will reach her heartbreak’s maxim. Euripides’ epilogue to the Greek myth of Jason & the Golden Fleece, this story finds the demi-descendent of the Sun God Helios, Medea, supporting her & Jason’s two-son family. All’s well before her gift of prophecy clues her into Jason’s impending betrothal to the princess of Corinth, Glauce, which her father, Creon, has helped arrange. As Medea spirals, seeking retribution for her shame, she will finally enact such filial horror to spite Jason’s infidelity.

How to Watch:

Free of cost, all audiences are welcome to watch the virtual show via the provided Zoom Meeting link at the showtime. Once all actors have joined this Zoom link, there will be a starting cast introduction followed by announcements before the virtual show begins. For all audience members, we will require cameras and microphones to be turned off for the entirety of the show’s runtime. This helps the actors to stay on task, and limits distractions. The show will be recorded for archival purposes on PMP’s free & public YouTube channel. You are welcome to participate in the zoom’s chat. At the end of the show, be sure to stick around for quick announcements on any future events and personalized member shoutouts from PMP!
